Taylor Momsen‘s dark days are far from over, but it appears the Pretty Reckless singer is streamlining her goth look. The 19-year-old attended the Versace Versus event in New York City May 15 wearing a harlequin-inspired leather suit and black pumps. Wearing her hair down in messy waves, the “Kill Me” singer completed her look with kohl-rimmed lids and a nude lip.
The former Gossip Girl star spoke candidly about her transition from television to rock music in the May issue of Nylon Singapore. “There’s no acting, no character; this isn’t Broadway. It’s a rock band,” she said The Pretty Reckless, which is currently working on a follow-up album to 2010′s Light Me Up.
Momsen, who played high school wannabe Jenny Humphrey for four seasons, made a guest appearance in Gossip Girl‘s series finale in December 2012. Aside from that, she has no plans to ever return to the small screen.
“Acting is a weird thing to me,” she told the magazine. “Saying someone else’s words has always been a slightly torturous event.”

Oh, never mind! Gwyneth Paltrow — who very publicly dissed the May 6 Met Gala, telling USA Today, “I’m never going again” — has devoted her latest issue of goop to, yes, the Met Gala.
“The Met Ball, at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, is always the year’s most elaborate display of incredible fashion and this year was no different,” the actress writes. She then goes on to describe in detail just how her custom fuchsia Valentino Haute Couture dress, featuring a sheer panel just above the chest, was created. (For the record, it took two fittings plus last-minute, day-of alterations to get just the right look.)
Her stylist Elizabeth Saltzman also chimes in to explain her rationale behind the dress selection: “In thinking about what Gwyneth could wear, I didn’t want her to show up in a costume. So this look is all about anarchy — truly going against the grain and not wearing what everyone expects. That’s about as punk as you can get.”
In a post-Met Gala interview with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, Paltrow, 40, complained about the event’s dress code: “I think we’re all a bit old to dress up punk,” she said by way of explaining her more conservative attire. “I just went as kind of normal.” (Her former bestie, Madonna, 54, on the other hand, went all-out in a racy fishnet body stocking, a studded jacket, and hot pink pumps.)
In the latest goop issue, the Oscar-winning actress also shares her favorite looks from the night, and true to her word, none were costume-y. Paltrow picked Carey Mulligan, in a black Balenciaga cutout dress, model Cara Delevigne, in a black Burberry gown with plunging neckline, and Miranda Kerr, in a revealing Michael Kors cutout number, as best-dressed.

Since marrying Prince William on April 29, 2011, all eyes have been on the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. A longtime fan of unfussy designers like MaxMara, Asos and Zara, Middleton, now 31 and expecting her first child, has stuck to what works as her pregnancy progresses.
Outfitting her baby bump in tailored pieces and simple silhouettes, Prince William’s bride, due in July, is a total fashionista — and one who isn’t afraid to snag affordable items or wear them more than once. “It’s so exciting that the Duchess of Cambridge bought one of my designs,” Lovestruck designer Erika Shaw told Us after the royal purchased Lovestruck’s Deirdre dress, a $55 spring sheath with an elasticized waist. “I think it’s great that Kate wears high street brands.”

Not only did the Duchess don the ensemble to a friend’s wedding May 11, she stepped out in it on a Warner Bros. Studios tour in late April. Not one to shy away from color, Middleton has stepped out for her royal engagements in bright shades and bold prints, putting her growing baby bump on full display.
Though Middleton’s outfits have at times drawn ire — including from designer Vivienne Westwood, who encouraged her to recycle more clothing — Middleton has quickly become recognized as a bonafide style icon. Vanity Fair even placed her first on their list of most stylish pregnant celebrities. (Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz and Alec Baldwin‘s pregnant wife Hilaria Baldwin were also lauded.) Most recently, Us Weekly readers voted Middleton as their Celebrity Style Crush for the week of May 6.
“People always comment on her clothes, her makeup, her body, her baby,” a Middleton insider tells Us. “She knows it comes with the territory. It doesn’t get to her because she’s a confident girl. By now, it’s water off a duck’s back.”

What does the Maxim‘s hottest girl of the year wear to their big party? A sexy jumpsuit! Miley Cyrus didn’t disappoint on the red carpet at Maxim‘s 2013 Hot 100 party at Vanguard in Hollywood on Wednesday, May 15.
The 20-year-old singer rocked a sexy, strapless black and white Valentino jumpsuit, which she accessorized with a favorite pair of striped Saint Laurent heels that she’s been photographed shopping in before. The stylish star wore bright red lipstick for a pop of color, and slicked back her short blonde hair.
Before the party, Cyrus joked that her ensemble was a last-minute decision. “Hmmm . . . What to wear . . . What to wear . . . Hmmmm,” she tweeted. “Valentino. You’ve never done me wrong!” Cyrus has been loving the jumpsuit look lately. On March 22, she wore a black and white striped Chanel jumpsuit to the opening of Seacrest Studios at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, Calif.

The “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” singer only briefly flashed her engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth while attending the Maxim event solo. Instead, she kept her hands tucked firmly inside the pockets of her jumpsuit while posing on the carpet.
The former Hannah Montana actress was very honored to top Maxim‘s annual Hot 100 list. “It feels amazing to be No. 1, especially because it was voted on by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!” she told the magazine. “It’s every woman’s fantasy to be told she’s No.1 on Maxim’s Hot 100! So crazy!”
