Once you have the movie file on your computer, you can open them with something as simple as movie maker, assuming the file types fit. If they do not, use a file converter. Then you can splice in your own videos / pics into the movie.

If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.
